Dr Kerry Karam
Job Title: Writing and Study Skills Tutor
How to Contact:
studyskills@rgu.ac.uk; k.karam@rgu.ac.uk
Your Favourite Part of Your Role:
I like every part of my job. If I can do anything at all to support, motivate, encourage, or guide students, then I’m happy.
Your Top Advice for Students:
You can do it! Take it one step at a time, don’t look too far forward. You may not feel capable of that next step yet, but by the time you get there, you’ll be ready.
Your Favourite Part of Aberdeen: The awesome RGU campus, of course. I feel at home there.
Favourite Film / Book:
My favourite film is American Dreamer, the 1984 Rick Rosenthal movie starring JoBeth Williams, Tom Conti and Giancarlo Giannini. It’s genius.
Favourite Famous Quote:
“A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.”
