Food
Eat, Drink and Play at QMU
Only one week to go until University life begins...
We want to say a big welcome to QMU (hello!) and let you know a little bit about the catering…we don’t want any ‘hangry’ people on this campus.
The 1875 Kitchen is located in the main building and open from 8:30am-2:30pm. You can visit here for breakfast and lunch where you’ll find a huge selection of fresh, seasonal and, most importantly, delicious food. Grab yourself a breakfast roll in the morning from only £1.20 or visit us at lunchtime to check out our salad bar – who knew veggies could be so interesting?!

If you’re looking for that afternoon chocolate bar to keep you going, The Shop will supply you with all you need. There’s a number of different products too, including a selection of gluten-free treats and snacks suitable for a vegan diet. Forgotten to buy a notebook for the first day of classes? Don't stress! The Shop also supplies a full range of stationary equipment so you'll never have an excuse for not taking notes! Open from 8:30am till 5pm.
Looking for a caffeine fix? Look no further than Starbucks (oh yeah, QMU has a Starbucks. Hashtag winning). Ask our trained baristas to make you your favourite coffee and don’t forget to pick up a loyalty card while you’re at it! Look out for special promotions on drinks throughout the year… pumpkin spiced latte, anyone?

Last but certainly not least, is the Maggie’s Bar & Café located underneath the Student’s Union, across from the main building. This is your place to relax, socialise, study, party… and grab some food while you’re at it! We’ve launched a brand new menu which features burgers, nachos, pizzas and those infamous curly fries. Join us for pancakes and maple syrup in the morning or grab a bargain with our burger and pint for £5 deal… don’t say we’re not good to you!

If you have any questions around catering in QMU, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff who will be more than happy to help.
Enjoy university!
