Classic Houmous Recipe
Ingredients
200g chickpeas, drained (reserve 30g of the water)
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. tahini
1 chopped garlic clove
Salt & black pepper to taste
Method
- Blitz all ingredients together in a food processor to a paste
- Check seasoning
- Serve alongside crusty bread, sliced cucumber, carrot, peppers & vegetable crisps
Add a twist by mixing any of these ingredients through just before serving:
- Juice & zest of a lime and 30g chopped coriander
- 50ml sweet chilli sauce
- 2 roasted red peppers, blitzed through a food processor
