Give it a Go - Upcycling

By hughero 25 Nov 2021

The Guild is hosting an upcycling workshop on Wednesday 8th December 1pm-3pm, where you can learn how to mend your own clothes and make them last a little longer. All you need to do is bring your own sweatshirt, maybe something you haven’t touched in a while as the emotional investment and connections are better. If you don’t have a sweatshirt available, please check out Soho’s on Bold Street and have a look into second-hand shopping! You will learn about some simple techniques for customising your clothes. Damaged of worn clothes can guide to the formation of new ideas, textures, and patterns using visible mending techniques such as darning and Japanese boro and sashiko.
