Festival season is upon us, which means some good weather (hopefully), making new friends and dancing into the wee hours of the morning.
However, it doesn't always go down like that, so to make sure you get the most of your time at the festival we've put together the ultimate bucket list for you to follow.
Here's the best way to map out your weekend so you don't miss a beat:
- Set up a plan
Devise a plan before the festival so you don't miss any of your favourite artists or performances you really want to see. It's probably best to plan with your friends and get a layout of the festival so you know where to go when.
- Explore the non-concert activities
Festivals are so much more than just the musical performances. Get out there and see what all is on offer. Who knows, you may end up doing something you never thought you would!
- Don't be shy
Festivals are no time to be shy. Meet people and make new friends! You could make some new friends for life.
- Get photos
You weren't really there unless you have proof or post it, right? Just kidding. But really, get photos from the event of your friends, favourite artists and yourself. Better yet, try to get a picture with your favourite artists.
- Find all the freebies
Who doesn't love freebies? You're paying a lot to be there, so you might as well get your money's worth. Find the freebie stations and make friends with the people giving out the good stuff.
- Check out the food vans
There's a lot going on and you may forget about food, but it's essential you eat actual meals throughout the weekend. There will be some awesome food vans there, so take advantage this... 'cause food, duh.
- See artists up close
If you want to see and possibly meet your favourite artists, the radio tents are the place to be. They will be doing interviews most of the day at the radio tents, so you're more likely to get an up close glimpse of them here.
- Relax, dance & enjoy
Remember, you're here for the experience and to have fun. So, don't worry too much about trying to get around to see everything or stress out about the weather. Embrace the festival, dance, and enjoy yourself!
