Money Advice - Financial Capability Module

The Financial Capability module

Money makes the world go round, affecting every aspect of our lives. Join our Money Advice and Funds Service for a series of workshops to develop and improve your knowledge, confidence and financial skills. Ultimately giving you the essential skills to flourish both at University and in life after graduation.

The module blends the practical with the theoretical to help you understand financial management and financial products.

The Financial Capability module is divided into three workshops. Completing all three counts as part of the UWE Bristol Futures Award.

Workshop 1

 Date: 14:00–16:00 on Wednesday 7 March 2018

Venue: Room 5X108 in Bristol Business School, Frenchay Campus

This workshop will cover: Attitude to money, knowing your financial products and completing your personal budget.

 

Workshop 2

Date: 14:00–16:00 on Wednesday 14 March 2018

Venue: Room 5X108 in Bristol Business School, Frenchay Campus

 This workshop will cover maximising income: claiming tax back and help with health costs, tenancy agreements and household costs and bills.

 

Workshop 3

Date: 14:00–16:00 on Wednesday 21 March 2018

Venue: Room 6X101 in Bristol Business School, Frenchay Campus

This workshop will cover dealing with the unexpected expenditure: What to do if things go wrong financially, credit rating and dealing with debt.
