Make your ideas become reality

By JForrester 14 Nov 2018

Do you know about Student Ideas?

The Students' Union is here for you and if you have ideas about things that you would like changed 'Student Ideas' can help you.

So how does Student Ideas work?

Submit an Idea

An Idea is anything you think that The Students' Union should be doing. When submitting an Idea don’t use formal policy-making language. Keep it simple!

Vote

Students vote on Idea

For an Idea to pass students need to vote in favour of it. To do this click on an Idea that takes your interest and you will be taken to its page where you can vote and comment on it.

Scored

Idea gets scored

When an Idea closes it will get scored out of 100 depending on the score it will either get a 1st, 2:1, 2:2 or fail.

Pass

Idea Passes/fails Or Is Sent To Student Council Meeting

If an Idea scores a 1st it gets an unconditional pass. 2:1s and 2:2s get conditional passes and will only officially pass after being discussed at a Student Council Meeting.

Discuss

Idea is discussed at the Student Council Meeting

The Student Council Meeting discusses 2:1s and 2:2s to make sure that they are in the best interest of the student population. They can veto an Idea if they believe this isn't the case.

Workflow

The Students' Union work to make Idea a reality

Once an Idea has passed The Students' Union will start working on it.
