We're recruiting! And need students from a wide range of UWE Bristol degree programmes and from all campuses, so get involved.

What is Peer Assisted Learning (PAL)?
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leaders facilitate group-based study sessions and workshops for other students in order to:
- Ease the transition into Higher Education
- Adjust to University life
- Improve study habits
- Enhance academic or technical understanding
- Develop the life skills of resilience
- Connect with their peers
What are the benefits of being a PAL Leader?
By being a UWE PAL Leader, you will:
- Help other students to help themselves.
- Develop the soft skills employers look for e.g. leadership, interpersonal communication, time management.
- Be equipped with mentoring and facilitation techniques.
- Connect with other students and your course.
- Get involved in internal and external networking events and conferences.
- Engage with learning and development opportunities e.g. ILM Level 3 in Effective Mentoring.
- Gain experience in using online learning platforms and digital tools.
- Earn while you learn.
- Have the opportunity to become a Senior PAL Leader the following year, mentoring a team of PAL Leaders.
