Nobody wants to deal with a blocked toilet - especially if you're a student with your own ensuite. Or worse, you share with flatmates!
Daily reports of blocked toilets are common, but they shouldn't be.
This is simply because of things that are being flushed down the toilet when they don't belong there.
Assuming that we don't need to state the obvious things ....
However, let's remind everyone of the less obvious and common items that should be disposed of in waste bins – NOT your loo!
- Paper towels
- LARGE AMOUNTS of toilet paper
- Make-up wipes / wet wipes (even those labelled as "flushable" - there's usually a maximum of 3 sheets you can flush at a time - be very cautious!)
- Cotton buds / pads / balls
- Sanitary pads
- Greasy things like fat, oil and food scrapings
Blocked toilets are never cute ..... except for this one.
