To kick off the second semester SHU GoGlobal have arranged a special programme of fun social activities and events throughout January.

Trip to Leeds

Tuesday  2nd January 9.30am–5pm
Owen Building, City Campus

Join us for a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Leeds. We'll be taking the train and will visit the Royal Armouries Museum, as well as exploring the city's shops, galleries and museums. Click here to get your tickets in advance.

Welcome Dinner and Quiz

Friday 19th January 5pm–7pm
Chef Hallam Central, Level 6 Owen Building, City Campus

Enjoy a welcome dinner and quiz. Tickets must be purchased in advance by 2pm on Tuesday 16th January. Get your tickets here.

Trip to York

Saturday 20th January 8am–7pm
Meet at the University main entrance, Owen Building, City Campus

Join us on our trip to York, one of the most historical cities in the UK. Attractions include the castle, minster and museums, including the National Railway Museum. Buy your ticket for £1o online here.

Botanical and Ecclesall Road

Sunday 21st January 11am–2pm
Meet at the University main entrance, Owen Building, City Campus

Come and explore the popular Ecclesall Road area with independent shops, restaurants and bars. We will continue to the beautiful Botanical Gardens where you will have free time to explore the 18-acre gardens. Book your place on Unihub here.

Ice Skating

Wednesday 24th January 6.30pm–9.30pm
Meet at the University main entrance, Owen Building, City Campus

Meet our student crew for a fun evening at Ice Sheffield. Students skate for £4 including skate hire. We will take the tram so please bring £4 for a return fare and your student card. Book your place online.

Walk to the Peak District

Sunday 28th January 9.30am–3pm
Peak Lecture Theatre, Level 5 Owen Building, City Campus

Come and find out why Sheffield is the greenest city in Europe, as one of our British students leads a walk to the edge of the Peak District. Please wear comfortable shoes, waterproof clothes and bring a picnic! Reserve your place on UniHub.
