Browzer Picks: Places to eat in Sheffield
Sometimes a soggy homemade cheese sandwich just doesn't cut it when you've got an hour or so to kill between lectures.
Let's face it, there's nothing worse than when your rumbling stomach can be heard over the dulcet tones of your lecturer... awkward!
Check out my top Browzer picks of some of the great places to eat in Sheffield:
Cafes, Kitchens & Outlets
- Birdhouse Tea Bar & Kitchen
Birdhouse are the loose leaf tea experts. Their menu has an incredible range of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as an extensive range of teas. I highly recommend the pancakes which come with a delicious coconut cream, and a 'Sheffield Fog' is the hug in a mug you never knew you needed!
- Somewhere Else Coffee House
Over at Collegiate? Take a trip up the hill to Somewhere Else. Their selection of vegan cakes and coffee can't be beaten. They regularly hold vegan weekends that are really popular so makes sure you get in early!
- Soya Express
If you're looking for good value, delicious Chinese food close to City Campus then look no further. Be sure to try the hand pulled noodles or fried Chinese dough sticks.
- Hungry Buddha
A hidden gem tucked away in the Moor Market, the Hungry Buddha offers an amazing value thali plate which includes curry, rice, dal and homemade chutneys.
- Union Street Pop-up Cafe
The Union Street Cafe changes daily, with delicious Taiwanese dumplings one day to Jamaican street food the next. Check out the schedule here.
- Sentinel Brewery
Fancy a pint and some good food? Sentinel Brewery is the answer. Just across the road from The Trigon their kitchen is open for delicious pizzas, chicken wings and veggie strips.
