We're all guilty of it, spending hours on end on our phones, sending messages, taking photos and sharing most of our lives on social media.
But have you committed one of the most embarrassing fails social media has ever seen, or gone against the unwritten code of smartphone etiquette? Here are just a few you might be familiar with...
- Snapchat story shame
Waking up and realising you recorded your whole night out in Sheffield on Snapchat! Everyone wants to see you throwing yourself around the dance floor and screaming song lyrics, right?
- Flirty fail
The ultimate mistake - taking a risqué Snapchat and sending it to the wrong person! Whether it's one of your mates, or a sibling... the shame!
- Whatever, I don't care anyway...
When you haven't been tagged in a meme, or funny video for a full day by your friends so you have to seriously consider choosing a new group of mates.
- The ultimate betrayal
Or even worse, you see them tag someone else in a meme. Have I been replaced?!
- You, fraudster!
When you tag someone in a hilarious video (that lasts about 2 minutes) on Facebook and they like your comment after about 30 seconds. You've not even watched it!
- Excuse me, I'm waiting...
Leaving you on 'read', is there anything worse?! On WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or even opened a Snapchat and ignored it... so rude!
- The unfortunate screenshot
When you screenshot a message chain to send to your friends for some advice, but end up sending it straight back to the person you were talking to! Oops!
- The Snapchat stalker
When you receive a screenshot of your Snapmap location with a question about why, or where you are. Don't forget, 'Ghost Mode' is always the answer!
- That mutual support
And finally, the unwritten rule that you have with your friends that you'll support each other on social media no matter what. That means liking and commenting (usually flame emojis) on their pictures, even if you've seen 10 different versions of it when they've asked for your advice about which is best.
