Arrivals Weekend: Keys & Car Parking
As we gear up towards move in weekend here are some of the boring, but important snippets of info you need to be aware of...
The roads around Sheffield are likely to be very busy on arrivals weekend, 22nd & 23rd September 2018.
Site management will be working around the clock to to get you checked in as quickly as possible.
Keep an eye on the live traffic news to find out where traffic is at its busiest so that you can avoid these areas.
SUFC v Preston North End - SAT 22nd Sept
Sheffield United will be playing at home (Bramall Lane) on Saturday 22nd September, kick-off at 3pm. Traffic will be at its heaviest in the build up to kick-off & post match.
There will be the usual road closures in place around Bramall Lane for a SUFC football match. Bramall Lane itself will be closed between 2.15pm - 3.10pm & 4.30pm - 5.30pm. Randall Street & Harwood Street will also be closed from 7am - 6pm.
Sheffield 10K - SUN 23rd Sept
The Sheffield 10k run returns to the city on Sunday 23rd September and a number of roads will be affected by closures on the day.
Make sure you to plan your route before setting off and check road closure information.
Parking & Unloading
Parking onsite and around halls is limited. Please be considerate to other students arriving and move your vehicle as soon as possible to enable others to unload and check in. But don't stress as halls staff will be on hand to help direct you to where you need to go, or help you find a car park.
Once you have completed your SHUstart Welcome you will be able to login to the SHU Accommodation Portal to select an arrival slot from the times available.
There is also the option to arrive early - contact your hall of residence directly for more info!
Keys are collected directly from your hall of residence.
