CYCLING AND WALKING
RGU encourages cycling as a healthy, cheap and environmentally friendly way to get to University.
You can join the university’s Bike User Group on Facebook to discuss anything cycling-related and RGU Club on Strava to compete against each other and participate in joint missions (for walks, runs and rides).
RGU BikePad is the bike hire scheme run by RGU Union. Bikes are still available for semesters 2/3.
There is cycle parking across campus, and there are lockers and changing facilities in most buildings. A detailed map is available here.
The best way to cycle to Garthdee is along the old Deeside Railway Line, but more experienced cyclists may choose to use alternative routes. Suggested routes are available from Aberdeen City Council here.
Get in touch with the university’s Campus Cycling Officer for any enquiry: firstname.lastname@example.org
