Yasmin's Blog: Styling yourself at Christmas

Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way

Yes, Christmas is almost here! So many things to do, so little time. Gift shopping, tree hunting, cards to be sent out and decorations to be put up. There is also Christmas parties to be planned. Wait did I mention parties? You know what that means.. party wear shopping! But what to look out for this year winter’s trend? A tip from the guardian mentioned this year is not about dresses anymore.
Separates are getting more attention as you can make your own style statement. So stop looking at those evening dresses and start building your own style! Need a starting point? Here is what has been at the talk out of the town:

  • Sequins and Glitters

Tis the season to be shiny. Bring up the season’s festive spirit with a sparkly top and tone it down with a good old pair of jeans for a simple yet adorable get up.

  • Velvets and more Velvets

Since the Autumn/Winter 2016 fashion week, people can’t get enough of velvety elements included in their outfit. Whether it is a pair of velvet boots or dress, you’ll sure to be turning heads at any evening.

  • Cocktail Skirt

For a more sophisticated and conventional outfit, throw on a pair of cocktail skirt with a gorgeous blouse to avoid looking dull.

  • Tuxedo Pants

Yes, I said it. Pants, they are not only for men nowadays. Such a statement piece that you need to wear at a party. Pair with an off the shoulder top for a flirty, clean look.

  • Jumpsuit

Not a separate outfit kind of person? No problem. Opt for a clean cut, sleek jumpsuit rather than a dress. Jumpsuits can be tricky to wear to a party but pair it with a statement necklace or clutch, you are party ready!

As usual, these are just my tips and tricks on the current party wear trends. Bring out your attitude and creativeness into the outfits.

Party safe guys and have a Merry Christmas!
