Workout of the month - December
December is one of the busiest months of the year for a lot of people. There's Christmas shopping, mince pies, nights out and unfortunately.......exams!
Busy periods in our lives can mean an increase in stress levels. It’s impossible to eliminate, but you can learn to manage stress, and most people usually do.
Exercise is a great way to help manage stress. Studies show that exercise is a very effective way of reducing fatigue, improving alertness and concentration, and enhancing overall cognitive function. This can be especially helpful when stress has depleted your energy or ability to concentrate.
With that in mind, we have come up with our 12 days of Christmas workout to help you out and fight off stress. You don't need any equipment to do it, which means you can do it in the comfort of your own home if you can't make the gym.
You can try the exercises back to back, or you can have a rest in between, it's entirely up to you :)
On the 12 days of Christmas my trainer gave to me…
1 - Plank 20 seconds
2 - 10 Burpees
3 - 10 Push ups
