Tyler's Blog: Make holidays great again
Believe me, this isn’t fake news. Just because you are a student does not mean you cannot enjoy the beach in Spain or a pint in Prague.
HolidayPirates and MyHolidayguru are two websites that offer deals on trips saving you yuge amounts of money. Without them, I would have never been able to travel from Germany to Barcelona for only 2 euros. Side note, long bus rides are as bad as they sound but are totally worth it.
Sure, Edinburgh is a great city and you undoubtedly need to see the Highlands at some point in your studies. However, if you grew up in the UK or are an international student not from Europe, those Spanish beaches and Czech beers sound even nicer. Deals within the UK and to the Highlands are available, too.
No matter what you are looking for, these sites are for you.
Typically, the offers are package deals making the experience simple and quick. If that isn’t for you, deals focused solely on transportation or accommodation are available. Deals vary from last-minute to in advance. For those lucky students with a bigger budget that might not like the idea of cheaper holidays, 5 star hotels and destinations like the Maldives are available.
Students from America, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Poland, Spain, and the Netherlands can also enjoy deals from HolidayPirates when they move back home. MyHolidayguru offers their deals in similar countries, too.
You no longer have to constantly manually change the dates for your flight to find the best deal. When choosing your departure and return dates, you can choose exact dates or up to +/- 3 days of leeway.
The strictly hotel search is not as tremendous as their offers or flight search. Airbnb and TripAdvisor are better, in my opinion. Look for my piece on mastering Airbnb, which will be available late October/early November on Browzer.
