Stina's Blog: The best of Edinburgh's Cafes

By Megan 28 Oct 2016

Winter is coming and that means it’s finally time to spend your afternoons in a cosy café with a nice hot cup of whatever you fancy. Edinburgh offers a wide selection of cafes and little hidden gems down all the quirky laneways of the city centre.

  1. Hula
    103 - 105 West Bow, EH1 2JP, Edinburgh

This little café located just off the Grassmarket is great if you fancy some food with your cuppa. In addition to an amazing selection of Hot Drinks they also offer breakfast and lunch with a focus on ‘healthy’ food. And if coffee isn’t really your thing I seriously recommend their matcha almond latte
  2. Black Medicine Coffee
    2 Nicolson St, EH8 9DH, Edinburgh

If you are looking for the best coffee in Edinburgh look no further. It can be found at Black Medicine Coffee just a few minutes away from South Bridge. As well as amazing coffee they also offer cake and little nibbles.
  3.  Wellington Coffee
    33A George Street, EH2 2HN, Edinburgh

If you happen to find yourself on George Street pop into this cosy little café for a little pick-me-up. They don’t only make wonderful coffee but they also offer a small selection of baked goods to go along with your drink.
  4.  Frisky
    37 Lothian Road, EH1 2DJ, Edinburgh

While this quirky café offers good coffee the real reason to visit is for their frozen yoghurt. They offer different flavours and a big selection of toppings to go with it. Oh and did I mention that they also offer bubble tea? So get yourself down here if you fancy something a little different.

So go on... escape the cold in one of these awesome places!
