Sports Centre Fitness Class Timetable 2017/18

Below is a timetable of the Fitness Classes at QMU Sports, there is a small description of each class at the bottom of the page.

All of the classes, with the exception of Zumba, are included in the membership at no extra cost. Memberships cost as little as £9.25 per month!

AB BLAST – A quick 15 minute intense blast of abdominal work.

BODY TONE – Yoga and Pilates combine to improve flexibility, build strength, and tone the whole body.

BOXFIT – Fun, fast, high rep workout that builds muscular endurance as well as strength. Ideal for all, from beginner to advanced.

CIRCUITS— A combination of cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance. Ideal for all fitness levels.

CORE CONDITIONING - A non-aerobic, muscle-toning class, focused on core strength. The class is designed to build core muscle groups while improving posture through performing a variety of exercises that strengthen the abdomen and back muscles and increase flexibility.

INSANITY — A cardio class, based on max interval training. This class will push you past your limits with athletic/plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power, resistance, and core training. No equipment or weights needed

KETTLEBELLS— A kettlebell based workout that will be sure to set your metabolism on fire & whip you into shape. A complete body workout that uses weights to focus on muscle tone, definition and overall fitness.

LEGS, BUMS AND TUMS - A popular group exercise class which targets the legs, bum and tum area to shape and tone the body.

PILATES – Strengthen and tone muscles all over your body with these easy to follow and easy to perform low impact, low rep conditioning exercises.

PUMP FX – Fun weights based exercise to music workout designed to improve muscular definition, build strength and burn those calories.

ROWFIT – A 30 minute circuit style class using bodyweight exercises and the rowing machine.

SPIN – Fun and invigorating cycling class that is great for increasing fitness.

SPIN CIRCUITS – Combining spin and circuits into one fun workout.

SPIN EXPRESS – Fun and invigorating cycling class in a 30 minute blast!

STRENGTH & TONE – A class designed to strengthen and tone the body using barbells and dumbbells.

TABATA – 30 minute high intensity workout based in the gym using either different machines/equipment or body weight, working for 20 seconds with a 10 second rest in between.

TREADFIT – A 30minute class on the treadmill at a variety of intensity levels. Covering intervals, hills and flat sprints. Suitable for all fitness levels.

YOGA FLOW – Energetic, flowing yoga sequences with emphasis on alignment, building strength and flexibility.
