Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

So what goes down in Musselburgh town?

As one of Scotland's oldest towns there is a whole lot of history to be noted when you are out and about! See some sights whether you are doing a spot of shopping or chilling on the beach.

Beaches

At QMU you are just a stone's throw away from miles of golden Scottish sands, with enough space to pick your prime sunbathing location and follow the sun down the coast line without tiptoeing around tourists. A great student picnic spot, space to study or be alone with your thoughts. Checkout the local Fisherrow Beach, or the famous Portobello Beach

There is a golf course in putting distance and Musselburgh Racecourse about ten minutes walk away.

If you fancy venturing further afield for some food or city life, take a look at our Edinburgh student guide
