New Year, New Resolutions?

Oh yes, it’s that time of year again. If you’re struggling to get started with your resolutions for 2017, we’ve put together some ideas that might go some way to happier healthier campus life this semester…!

Get Fit!

It’s that all so common new years resolution which normally lasts a few frantic weeks then you suddenly find that your bum is well and truly stuck to the sofa again come February.....why not find a charity run to sign up to - there's always loads going on in Edinburgh...

Get Clean!

Not doing your share of the kitchen cleaning / hoovering / emptying of bins is by far the biggest issue that results in flatmates falling out with each other and an unhappy living environment in halls. 

Maybe getting clean could be an excellent new years resolution for some of you this year!

So be honest, if you don’t do enough around the flat man up and make an effort. If need be write up a cleaning rota so everyone knows who is responsible for what and when. It is almost 100% guaranteed that your fellow flatmates with be forever grateful and you might even find life in your flat get’s a lot less stressful!

And if you don’t want to do it for them, do it to avoid unwanted accommodation cleaning charges at the end of your lease!

Get Sober (well, at least more sober-ish!)

Cast your mind back to last semester…did you maybe, just perhaps drink a little more than you should have done? It’s part and parcel of student life, we get it….but drinking too much too often can have serious short and long term effects on your health. 

Why don’t you try having at least 2 alcohol free days a week this semester - your liver and your bank account are sure to both thank you for that! For more info on Alcohol Awareness click here
