As a competitive swimmer, fitness class attendee and first aid volunteer, I decided to turn my hobbies into a career and applied for a Lifeguard job at QMU’s Corstorphine campus in 1998 and have been here ever since! Over the years my role has progressed through Supervisor, Assistant Manager to my present role as Manager. Throughout this time I have also been a swimming teacher, RLSS National Pool Lifeguard course Trainer and Assessor and Fitness Class Instructor. I have expanded my Management skills through completing an HNC in Leisure Management and an Msc in Sports Management at Stirling University in 2012. I enjoy leading our fantastic Sports Team who strive to provide our customers with the best fitness experience possible to help them to achieve their fitness goals. More recently, I have expanded my Trainer Assessor skills to enable me to teach First Aid related courses here at QMU. I thoroughly enjoy teaching these courses which give people the skills they need to save a life.
