Got plans for Hogmanay?

By Megan 05 Dec 2017

Edinburgh has an endless list of festive events, and it is sometimes difficult to choose what to do and where to go!

This list should give you a helping hand to celebrate at the bells and bring in the New Year.

    • Street Party
Three stages of music suiting everyone's taste. A top music spot for Hogmanay. The only question left is, can you handle the cold?!
    • Ceilidh under the Edinburgh Castle
Dance the night away at a traditional Scottish ceilidh, under the stunning backdrop of the iconic Edinburgh Castle.
    • Torchlight Procession
Not quite Hogmanay, but on the 30th December, a spectacular sea of light illuminates the winter night, to mark the opening of Edinburgh's New Year celebrations, this year culminating in #ScotWord.
    • Concert in the Gardens
Headlined by Rag 'n' Bone Man, this show stopping performance will leave you rocking through the night.
    • Candlelit Concert at St. Giles' Cathedral
This year’s Candlelit Concert opens with J.S.Bach’s captivating Lutheran Mass in F BWV 233, perfectly bringing to a close the Reformation’s 500th anniversary year.
