Freshers 2017 at QMU

By Megan 18 Jul 2017

What is QMUSU Freshers’ Week?

Freshers’ Week refers to your first week at university; it’s an exciting time, packed with activities, events and information. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, find out about your new life at university and what the Students’ Union has to offer, sign up for sports and societies, make new friends and have fun!

What is a Freshers’ Week wristband?

Wristbands are your pass to QMUS Freshers. They allow you to experience all the main events that QMU Students’ Union have organised for you.

We offer 2 types of wristbands: Blue and Silver. Blue is available to 18+ only and allows you to purchase alcoholic drinks at our events (remember that proof of your age will always be required when purchasing alcohol); Silver allows access to our main events in Maggie’s only, without the alcoholic drinks option.

What events and activities does a wristband include?

Details of events and activities included in each wristband will be available on the QMUSU website soon.

Where can I buy and collect my wristband?

You will be able to buy your wristband it online or on arrival. Collection will be on arrival, on key collection days. You won’t be able to purchase a Blue wristband unless you are 18+. Remember to bring a valid ID when collecting it!

If I don’t have a wristband, can I purchase individual tickets for events?

Yes, however these will be subject to availability. Please check the QMUSU Facebook Page for all events and activities information.
