During next week the RAs will be conducting food bank collections across all our halls in Manchester, click on the link above to find when it is happening at each location. Please donate what you can to help local people in need.
Monday 15 May, 7.30pm-9.30pm, at The Red Lion in Withington.
In every stage of development, from our time as a fetus to adulthood, a healthy heart and good blood vessels are essential to our well-being. This evening, our speakers will explain how their research can help us to lead a healthier life, telling you about heart development, function and blood vessels with a cardiopulmonary resuscitation workshop during the interval.

Learn about the ways you can act on climate change and stand out from the crowd to employers by taking part in our Carbon Literacy Training for Students. You will receive a Carbon Literacy Certificate and the training will also count towards your MMU Futures Award.

Manchester Met will be assessing biodiversity value in its own backyard by surveying areas on campus... and we want your help! The aim is to survey plants, herbs, invertebrates and trees and map their locations and species.

A chance to see examples of early Pilkington's Pottery and find out about its connections to the Manchester School of Art with our Curator, Stephanie Boydell.

This catwalk event showcase’s the work of final year fashion and textiles students at Manchester School of Art. The show provides the perfect opportunity to see the next generation of designers, before they enter into the professional world. Tickets start from £7.
Friday 19 May, 1pm-5pm, meeting at Manchester Student Homes.
The Hidden Gems Tour highlights 25 of the local artistic, cultural, environmental and historic ‘gems’ that play an important part in the lives of students and local community members in Fallowfield and Withington.
Friday 19 May, 6pm or 8pm, at Victoria Warehouse.
This event showcases the work of final year (BA) Hons Fashion Design & Technology students from Manchester Fashion Institute. Tickets are £5.
Saturday 20 May, 9.30am-5pm, in the Benzie Building.
This is a great opportunity for emerging illustrators and graduates to get an insider's view into the picture book industry and other commercial opportunities, with illuminating talks from leading publishing experts and agents. Student tickets £24.
I Love Wednesdays
Wednesday 17 May, 9.30pm-2am, in the Student Zone.
Continuing the celebrations from the Cheshire Awards, let’s make this last ILW of the year a special one. The theme is formal wear, so dress to impress! Tickets are £2.50 (from the Students’ Union shop) or £3 on the door.

Assignments are nearly done! Presentations nearly presented! Exams underway! Take a couple of hours to let your hair down and breathe. Join the Film Society to take a trip down memory lane with some of the best films in the BAFTA's in the last few years.
