Refresher's Flu... It's a thing!

Students are slowly starting to move back into halls for term 2 and refreshers which only means one thing... (well, two) cold and flu. 

Here is some handy information for battling those January blues!

Self care 

Get yourself stocked up on cold & flu tablets and plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Tip! Get your list ready on Netflix for when you can't do anything except stay in bed all day.

I recommend cups of hot honey and lemon water for when you are feeling bunged up.

Visiting the local pharmacy

Visit a pharmacist to receive free, expert advice for a range of common questions and illnesses without having to see a GP or visit A&E.

If there are still no improvements, take a trip to see your GP

Remember to register yourself with a local GP surgery in Manchester during your time with us. 

NHS 111

111 is a free and confidential service which can easily be accessed via your phone. Operators can give expert advice and guidance on a range of health issue.

NHS Walk-In Centre

Walk-In Centres have doctors and nurses on hand to help with cases which do not require a trip to hospital.
