My fave places to check out in Manchester
There are many things to do whilst you're doing your studies in Manchester. Manchester offers lots of fun activities that students can enjoy with their mates.
Here are some ideas which I had lots of fun doing whilst I was at university:
- Junkyard Golf
Enjoy a round of golf with 3 courses to choose from and a bar on nearly every range so you can have a drink whilst playing! A short walk away from campus and is located on First Street in Deansgate.
This place is great fun with a group of friends, have a game of bowling and then enjoy cocktails and food at the bar. Remember to bring your student ID as it is only £3 to play!
- ODEON Great Northern
There's arcades inside and lots of bars and restaurants on the outside, (highly recommend Almost Famous if you fancy a good burger).
- Trafford Centre
A HUGE shopping centre with every shop you could think of and a massive food court in which you can pick between a takeaway or a sit-down meal. There is also a cinema, crazy adventure golf, laser tag, arcade and dodgems to do instead if you don't fancy the shops.
- Chill Factor
Located just outside the Trafford Centre, a big ski slope students can enjoy if they are sporty. It is something different to do! Not too expensive and also has restaurants indoors.
Take a stadium tour around both Manchester United and Manchester City or be a bit more adventurous and watch an exciting game. The Union often do tickets cheap so keep an eye out or go and ask for more information if you would like to go.
- MEN Arena
Take a tram to Victoria and have a night out watching a concert, they have shows on all year round so take a look on the website to see what is on.
All worth a visit but make sure to find your fave spots too!
