Guidedog cuddles – book your place!
Do your pets provide you with therapy? Do you feel more relaxed petting your fury feline or pampered pooch?
Well studies have shown that spending time with animals can reduce stress and anxiety levels whilst releasing the happy hormone endorphin at the same time.
Abi Dean, Active Lifestyle Officer, said ‘with this in mind, we thought what better way to help students relax than partnering up with the Guide Dogs? Many of our attendees quote missing their pets from home as the main reason for coming along to the sessions, so it is great to see the smiles on their faces as soon as they enter the room and see the dogs. It’s always a struggle to get them to leave!’
Why not book on and have something to look forward to when you come back in the New Year.
