Manchester Student Homes and Manchester Metropolitan University’s Residential Life Team in partnership with our local agencies and university departments will be hosting a Community Fete for students moving from Halls of Residence - into their first student home in September 2017.
Moving into your first student house can be a mixture of excitement and nervousness which can be a bit overwhelming. As part of our Halls 2 Home campaign, we want to make sure you feel comfortable in the local community here in Manchester and show you that there is continuing support for all students living off campus.
To ensure you have the best support and guidance our local partnership agencies will be there on the day to help explain what it means to live in the local community and how you can make the most of your time whilst living in one of the best cities in the world!
The Community Fete will be full of interesting and insightful stalls to help you with the transition from Halls of Residence to living in the local community, we have Manchester City Council, Greater Manchester Police, Biffa, MetMunch, MMU Environmental Team, MMU Health and Wellbeing, SU Advice Centre, Manchester Student Homes, Residential Life, MMU Sport, and MMU Security
You also have the opportunity to grab some free merchandise from all the local partnership agencies as well as those from the university. There will be free food for all those who attend the event. So, during the exam period, take a break from revision and come and see what living in the local Manchester communities is all about.
