Want to witness some of the best up and coming artists this summer? Lacking the festival feel in your summer calendar? Want to solve all this for free? The Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) is for you!
Celebrating its fifth birthday, the Sefton Park-based event has brought great media attention and critical acclaim since its inception in 2013. It has grown from a small festival with an intimate feel into its own unique answer for summer festival go-ers. From the funky electro-beat band Gorgon City to established acts like Fleur East to the Grammy award winning artist Corrine Bailey Rae - the pivotal Summer Jam strand of LIMF is calculated to provide a haven for all genres of music lovers in 2017.
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the release date of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - one of The Beatles' most successful albums. With this in mind, LIMF has curated the most talented up and coming acts from the UK with the theme "Remember The Times". This theme is explored through the "LIMF Presents" strand of the programme - with events such as "Reminisce 90s R&B" and "Garage Classical" which are sure to bring back fond memories to fans of the genres.
In 2016, Anne Marie performed at the festival. Since then, she has scored big on the UK Top Charts with hits like "Ciao Adios" and "Rockabye". For free, you could catch the next chart powerhouse just like attendees of last years star-studded fest.
