In Semester Two the Halls will be taking part in the University's 'Applicant Discovery Days'. These are events where prospective students who hold an offer to study at the University next year get the chance to come and visit their department. As part of these events students can also come and have a look around some of our undergraduate accommodation.
We are recruiting a team of Accommodation Ambassadors to work for us at these events - leading tours of your Hall for visitors, including showing your own room and flat.
The dates for our Applicant Discovery Days this academic year are: Saturday 26th January, Saturday 9th February, Saturday 23rd February, Saturday 9th March, Wednesday 27th March, Saturday 30th March, and Saturday 27th April. Team members are not guaranteed work for every ADD but we would ask that you commit to work a minimum of three ADDs across the cycle.
The rate of pay for this work is £8.68 per hour with 12.07% holiday pay paid on top of this.
The Halls we need to recruit Ambassadors for are:
- Greenbank Student Village
- Crown Place
- Melville Grove
- Philharmonic Court
- Vine Court
You need to be a resident in one of these Halls to apply for this role, and as these events are for prospective undergraduate students we are looking to recruit undergraduate residents to join the team - this is to allow our Ambassadors to share recent relevant experience of joining the University and our Halls as a new undergraduate student.
You will also need to have a National Insurance number in order to be paid for this work.
How to apply
If you're interested in this role please make sure you have read the role description and example agreement that can be viewed here.
Once you've done this, there is an online application form to complete here.
You can apply up until Sunday 13th January and we'll then be selecting people to join the team before the end of January when the first ADD event takes part.
