A Warm Welcome from your Wardens - ELC students

By HallsExp 04 Apr 2018

Within all of our halls we have a team of Wardens and Residential Advisors (RAs) who are here to support you during your time in Halls. From providing overnight on call support for any problems, to organising events for the Hall, your Warden and RA team are here to help you have a good stay with us. Your Warden leads the RA team and would like to welcome you to your new home.

Welcome to Crown Place

Welcome to Crown Place - Cores A, B, C and G

I am writing, on behalf of the entire halls team, to welcome you to Crown Place Halls of Residence. My role, in liaison with halls management and the residential advisor team, is to facilitate a positive environment and experience for all members of the halls community. Myself and the RA team all live on site with you, and are available to give advice, guidance and support 24 hours a day.

One of the first things that you will notice on arrival is that Crown Place is located right in the centre of Campus; close to the Guild and a short walk from the City Centre. You are based in a hub of activity, which I would encourage you to make the most of, it is a fantastic place to be located for your time in Liverpool.

I wish you a safe and trouble free journey to Liverpool,

Yours sincerely,

Matt Shillito

Welcome to Crown Place - Cores D E F H

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Crown Place, Hall of Residence.

My team at Crown Place consists of myself (Warden), a Sub-warden and Residential Advisers (RAs) who live in the Halls. We are here to offer you support and guidance wherever necessary. My team is mainly responsible for maintaining discipline and offering pastoral care within the Halls of Residence by encouraging and fostering a spirit of community and cooperation among students. The RAs are either staff or students at the University and will understand many of the issues that may arise throughout the year and can point you in the right direction for help.

Should you have any questions or need any advice regarding your life at the University of Liverpool, please feel free to approach any of us.

Yours sincerely,

Zeeshan Durrani
Warden, Crown Place (Cores D E F H)

Welcome to Philharmonic Court

On behalf of the residential advisers (RAs) and myself, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Philharmonic Court.

Our aim is to make your time here enjoyable and productive and to provide you with the support and encouragement you need. If you feel concerned or anxious about anything, or if your new life here just seems a bit daunting, we’re around to help. We are also all experienced in the way that the University works so we are a pretty good source of information about who to contact regarding problems with your programme, work, finances and many other things.

Living in a Hall of Residence is a terrific way to meet new people and to make new friends, many of the friendships you make at Halls will last well after you have left the University.

We hope you really enjoy your time here at Philharmonic Court and we look forward to meeting you soon.

Best wishes,

Iain Young
