Have your say- smoking on campus

By BLloyd 15 Mar 2019

We are asking staff and students to let us know your thoughts on the issues of smoking on campus.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and students is absolutely vital to us at the University so this National Non-Smoking Day is not only a time to support those of you who want to quit, but also to introduce some changes based on your feedback.

From Wednesday 13 March (National No Smoking Day) we’re introducing a smoke free zone around the David Wilson library as a result of staff and student feedback.

A group which includes staff, student and union representation from across the University Community has discussed the issues of smoking around our campus at length and are tasked with creating a campus where we can lessen the impact of smokers on others while meeting our legal requirements.

We need your input

In order to take steps towards a healthier and more welcoming campus want your input to inform our next steps so please take the time to complete our short questionnaire by 31 March 2019.

To find out more about the support available to you, students can email SU-wellbeing@le.ac.uk.
