By BLloyd 07 Aug 2017

Bus

Arriva run the 80/80a service throughout term time between the Oadby Student Village, University campus and the city centre.

Other bus services that take you into Leicester city centre are the 31 from London road and the 47 from University Road.

Find out more on the arriva website.

Train

Leicester train station is about a 15 minute walk from the University and accessible by bus routes. There are links with major cities across the country, making it easy to travel. The journey to London takes as little as 70 minutes.

Cycling

Our accommodation has a large amount of cycle storage. You can order keys for our secure cycle storage for just £5 from shop.le.ac.uk which you will be able to collect from your reception. You can find out where your nearest bike store is located by looking at your site map or asking at reception.

Remember to register your student ID with the security lodge on campus so that you can take advantage of the underground bike store beneath the library.

Leicester has loads of cycle lanes to connect you with the rest of the city.

Taxis

Leicester has numerous taxi companies, including a black cab service. However, the Students' Union recommend using Swift Fox Cabs.

Never use an unlicensed taxi and make sure to wait in a group in well lit areas.
