Looking for a house next year? Head over to the Housing Bazaar!
At this time of year, many students start to think about moving into to a house for the next year.
Whether you are a first, second or even third year student, it is an extremely important decision to make and you need to have an informed understanding of the market before you make it. This is why we work closely with the Students’ Union to organise the Housing Bazaar every year. Following the bazaar in November, which was very popular, the SU are holding their second bazaar on Thursday 22nd February.
Many students feel the need to rush into signing a contract for a house too early. There is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to do this. There are so many factors to consider before you make any final decisions.
The Housing Bazaar is the perfect opportunity to meet and chat in a casual environment with Landlords and Letting Agents to find out what they have to offer and whether they suit your needs. Student Accommodation Centre and Student Support Services will also be there to answer any questions you have on standards you should expect from a house and landlord.
Remember! There is no rush to sign any contracts or even be looking for accommodation before the Housing Bazaar, we strongly advise you to think about your options carefully when signing up for your house!
Come down to the Students’ Union, in the Piazza on Thursday 22nd February between 12pm and 4pm for more tips and useful information.
