What is Residence Life?
Living in halls and away from the comforts of home will be a brand new experience for most of you and it will be important to know there is support available should you need it.
And that's exactly where your Residence Life team comes in...Residence Life is all about supporting YOU whilst living in halls.
Our friendly team of Residence Life Assistant and live-in Residence Life Wardens are working hard to make sure you feel welcome and settled during your time in halls. They want to make sure all students can study, sleep, relax and enjoy life in halls!
The Residence Life team consists of 1 Residence Life Co-ordinator, 3 Residence Life Assistants and 10 Residence Life Wardens. The Residence Life Wardens are lived-in wardens who are also students in Heriot-Watt University so they will be able to support and assist you with any issues throughout your time in halls.
If you've got any problems whilst staying here, they're on board to support you through it.
What do I do if I need some support?
If you do have any problems, there is always a member of the Residence Life team on call between 8am and 11pm every day. You can email us at reslife@hw.ac.uk or visit the Residence Life Hub at Christina Miller West main foyer between 8am and 11pm every day.
If you are unable to reach us, you can contact Safeguarding on 0131 451 3500 and they can arrange for one of us to assist you.
You can also keep up with what we're planning on campus by following us on social!
