Scottish Borders: What's on campus?
Welcome to the Scottish Borders!
In this beautiful countryside location, your new home is closely surrounded by more than just classrooms and lecture halls. Here's what you can expect to find:
The SU is a group of students who arrange and run a lot of the events on campus. You'll find them in Pavillion 2, Flat 1, Jean Muir Student Village. Come down and meet your VP Lucy Graham, or chill out in The Thread, your social space.
The campus library is open for 66 hours each week and there's plenty of room to work with 94 single and group study stations. Your starting point at the library will be your induction with Peter, where you can learn everything that the library has to offer. Don't forget to check out their opening times.
Food and Drink
The Union is your best bet for food on campus. It offers salads, sandwiches, paninis, toasties, and a range of main meals. For a coffee in between lectures, the laid-back cafe in The Thread is ideal.
The Student Union Advice and Support Centre is there to offer help and advice on topics across all aspects on student life. Your Student Advisor on campus is Gillian McLaughlin and you can find her on the first floor of the High Mill Building.
The Shop is catered specifically to your needs, so it has a great selection of textiles and fashion materials and equipment to purchase. They also offer great on-the-go food - chocolate, crisps, sandwiches, yogurts, jellies, and more!
We hope you enjoy your time at Heriot-Watt Scottish Borders and see you around campus!
