Welcome to Riccarton!
Set in 380 acres of parkland, there's much more to this campus than just lecture halls and libraries. Here's just a selection of what you'll find:
As well as a group of people providing advice and support, the SU also has Geordies bar, Liberty's restaurant, the Pizza Shop takeaway and the Student Shop for all your essentials.
The Library opens for 85 hours each week and is open 24/7 during the exam period. There are 716 study places which are ideal for single or group study sessions. There is also a cafe here. Check out their opening times.
Food and Drink
There is a vast range of cafes and eateries across the campus with at least one of them opening 7 days a week. Central is your main food court but Cafe Brio, Da Vinci's and Elements also serve delicious meals and snacks.
When you need that coffee fix, you've got Starbucks in The Piece and Costa in the Library.
Oriam, Scotland's Performance Centre
Oriam is recognised as one of the best university sports centres in the UK and has all the facilities you need. There are sports halls, pitches, squash courts, gyms and fitness classes as well as physiotherapy, podiatry, sports massage and sports science testing services. There's also a Bistro Kitchen here, too.
Check out their website for more info.
Help and Support
The Advice Hub is located in the Hugh Nisbet building, between the Student Shop and the cash machine. They're there to offer free, impartial and confidential help and advice to all Heriot-Watt students.
