How to have the ULTIMATE Scottish summer

By BzBarlow 06 Jul 2018

Whether you've lived in Scotland all your life or this is your first Scottish summer, you should make the most of it...

You've probably noticed by now, but us Scots don't get much sun (or decent weather at all) so when we do, we make a fuss about it!

Here are our suggestions for how you can have the best summer EVER:

  1. Hit up a festival

You really wouldn't be having the full summer experience without hitting up one of the many festivals across the UK. You can see your favourite artists and go all out with people from all over the world - winner!
  2. Hop on the bus or train
Get some tickets and take the National ExpressMegabus or train to any city. Spend the day exploring the streets, taking in the history and tasting the local delicacies. That's a must before you leave!
  3. Head to the shore

Find the closest beach and get out your sunscreen. Make sure you dip your toes in the sea and get an ice cream cone too, or just cover yourself in sand and end up looking just like Joey...
  4. Soak up some sun in a beer garden
If you want a soda or prefer a pint, grab some friends and find a lovely beer garden. Enjoy time with your friends and being out in the sun.
  5. BBQ in the park
Grab a disposable bbq, burgers and speakers for your music and enjoy kicking a football around with your friends.
  6. Jet off to Europe

You don't have to limit yourself to the UK - with cheap train and flight tickets you could dash off to Europe and enjoy the beach and diverse cultures!

Whatever you end up doing, we hope you have an amazing summer!
