Exam season is upon us and we want to make sure you absolutely smash it!
That's why we have put together a handy list of things you should and probably shouldn't do before your exams to make sure you have the best mindset and 100% concentration.
- DO have a filling & healthy breakfast
Something light like cereal, a bagel porridge or with some fruit will give you energy without making you feel too lethargic.
- DO wear something comfortable
Imagine sitting in an exam hall for over two hours in tight, uncomfortable clothes? Throw a hoodie and your comfiest jeans on and you'll feel loads better.
- DO some exercise in the morning
Whether you love it or hate it, exercise is good for the brain. This doesn't mean running a 10k, you could do a home workout or yoga to wake you up but not tire yourself out either.
- DO go to the loo just before
Sorry to sound like your parents but do you really want to be busting for the loo and in the middle of answering a 25-mark question? Go just before so you don't have to break off and ask the invigilator to accompany you - awkward!
- DON'T eat a curry the night before
This follows the previous point for a reason. Make sure you don't copy that Will from Inbetweeners moment! Just be careful to not have anything that could upset your stomach.
- DON'T stay up all night/have a late night
You might think you're better off cramming in 5 hours of revision the night before but it's not effective. Have a chilled evening and try to get about 8 hours of sleep and you'll wake up refreshed.
- DON'T rush around in the morning
Wake up in good time and then you can eat your breakfast, fit in your workout and make your way to your exam. There's nothing worse than rushing around and getting yourself in a flap.
