Logging a ticket to Estates
It is important that a ticket is logged with Estates as soon as a maintenance issue is noticed. This is particularly important in communal areas. Don't assume somebody else is reporting the problem.
When you are logging a ticket, please try to give as much detail as possible. For example, if when you take a shower there is water leaking onto the floor, it is not enough information to say "leak on floor". Please clearly state that "there is water leaking after every shower".
Don't forget - you can check the status or progress of your maintenance issue at any stage, by clicking on the link provided by Estates in the email they send you when you log your ticket :
"You have submitted a request to Estates Office. Use the Reference Number ( ticket no.) when you wish to query the status of your request"
Use this link to log into the Estates Helpdesk: http://www.dcu.ie/
This is a super helpful way to track your request so make good use of it.
If you haven't had a response, a call out, or an update through the above link, please let reception know so that they can follow up on the job for you and let you know of any update.
Some jobs don't need to be logged with Estates and instead need to be reported to reception for the Housekeeping team. Below you will find a list of these jobs. Please don't log tickets for the below list of jobs.

If you experience issues with the washing machines or dryers, please let us know so that we can follow up on this with Circuit. It is very helpful if we know whether the issue is in the Hampstead or College Park laundry room. Every machine has a number on it, if we don't know the machine number it can be difficult to report the problem.
